Where Things Can Go

A free, online-only guide to where items can go next.

Our free, online-only guide to where items can go next: Gift, Sell, Donate, or Responsibly Dispose.

1

Gift

Family first, always. We document what was offered to whom and what was accepted, so nobody is left wondering later whether they were asked.

2

Sell

Where there is genuine value, we route it to the right channel — consignment, auction, specialist buyer, or estate sale. Realistic numbers, given up front. Most of what families believe is valuable is not, and most of what is valuable they did not expect.

3

Donate

To organizations we have actual relationships with, matched to what the item is. Receipts documented for the estate or for taxes.

4

Responsibly Dispose

Last, and smaller than you fear. Recycling, e-waste handling, hazardous materials, and document destruction — done properly, not tipped into one container because it is Friday.

This is an online-only guide — nothing to download and no form to fill out. Use it on the page, any time you need it.
